Bonnie now serves as director of professional learning at a Seattle-based nonprofit organization, Global Online Academy, where she develops leading edge learning opportunities for education leaders and school-based teams. She has also presented at numerous education conferences. She is the author of numerous publications and 100+ articles, and her work has been published on websites such as The Huffington Post, ParentMap, and Education Week. Bonnie co-wrote a guidebook for educators called The Role of Noncognitive Skills in Student Success and a book for parents on educational trends that impact families and students. At Big Picture Learning, an international network of innovative schools, Bonnie was a school design coach, where she led training for educators in social and emotional learning and the role of noncognitive skills in college degree attainment. Survivors include his wife Betty Lou Parde, Adams sons and daughters-in-law Harold and Lynda Parde and Raymond and Susan Parde, all of Seward daughter and son-in-law Cathy and Roger Agena, Adams grandchildren and spouses Julie and Jason Berry, Seward, Ryan Agena, Crete, Scott and Kady Agena, Cortland, Kurt and Angela Agena, Beatrice, Samantha and Brian Shears, Phoenix, Ariz., Chad and Kim Orwen, Seward, and Melissa Orwen, Utica great-grandchildren Cole, Dalton and Chase Berry, Jessica, Emma and Grace Orwen, Adelyn and Harrison Shears and Reese Agena brother and sister-in-law Edward and Annie Parde, Beatrice sister Becky Schmale, Cortland many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed woodworking, welding and polka dancing. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Eagles Aerie 531 both of Beatrice. He also served on the rural Cortland School Board. He was a former member of the American Lutheran Church of Adams where he served on the church council, was Sunday school superintendent and treasurer for the Sunday school.

He farmed and raised livestock and also drove a township maintainer for 35 years, retiring in 2003. He married Betty Lou Harms April 28, 1943, at the American Lutheran Church of Adams.

He attended Townsend school of rural Cortland and was confirmed in 1934 at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. He was born May 27, 1918, near Firth and baptized at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. Parde, 93, Adams, formerly of Cortland, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2012, at the Gold Crest Retirement Center of Adams.
